The 21st annual Duck Race to benefit non-profit Family Centered Services (FCS) took place on Saturday, August 8.

A total of 3,154 ducks floated down a flooded Washington Street as a crowd watched in anticipation as their ducks competed for 36 prize packages ranging from local gift certificates to a variety of gift baskets. This year’s grand prize winner of $1,000 was Tammy Hickey.

Additional prize winners were Debbie Fillers, Suzie Gentis, Jeni Yarger, Corrinne Shifferly, Holly Helm, Sara Kohler, Gerettie Nix, Jill Thornton, Emilee Green, Marge Ellis, Dale, Huffman & Babcock, Beckkee Thompson, Terri Ehle, Rachel Mills, Jeremy Todd, Doug McCormich, Sue Singer, Cole Bussel, Helen Minnich, Jody Ogle, Marissa Geiger, Lauren Powers, Chris Mossburg, Jordan Gerardot, Scott Springer, Lynn Fiechter, Mitch Harnish, Jane Decker, Katie Westfall, Rick Johnloz, and Weston Elbert.

Along with the duck race, the event also included a princess meet and greet, a Lightning McQueen photo op, face painting, bounce houses, kids’ games, free door prizes, food trucks, and ten raffles. Community partners were also present to share resources.

All the funds raised go toward continuing the work of FCS in the community.
